ACTS Translational Science 2025

Mock Study Section

The Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) and North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS) at the University of North Carolina are the hosts of the Association for Clinical and Translational Sciences (ACTS) Mock Study Section. The goal of the ACTS meeting is to support and advance translational science, or the translation of research and discoveries in the lab into therapies and solutions that improve human health.

The Mock Study Section is a formal workshop that simulates an NIH Study Section in every detail, including the work expected. Participants, along with scientific review officers from the NIH and committee chairs, will review previously submitted R, K, or F applications and then participate in a formal discussion and review of the grants. At the conclusion of the review, participants will have an opportunity to compare their critiques with the actual feedback/summary statements provided by the NIH. Each section is chaired by experienced investigators from around the country.

We look forward to seeing you on April 16, 2025, at the ACTS conference in Washington, DC!
